Thanks be to God for the terrific Parish Mission we enjoyed this week! Over 100 parishioners came Sunday, Monday, Tuesday evenings for an experience of spiritual renewal, healing through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and an encounter with the Lord in a new way. Focused on the seven sacraments, the mission talks are available on audio CD’s if you would like to borrow a set to listen; you can check them out from the rectory office.
An idea born through the Parish Transformation process and identified as a short term goal, we offered this Parish Mission as an opportunity for family & adult education and spiritual enrichment. We were blessed to have Fr. Tom McCarthy, OSA, from Villanova University to lead us in reflecting upon “The Sacraments: The Treasures of our Faith.” I am especially grateful to our Coordinator of Parish Ministries, Val Walker, who took care of all the details (and there were many) and the assistance of Gertrude Lobo and David Jones for their behind-the-scenes activities as well.
Below are some photos from our evenings together. Let’s do this again! Thanks to all who participated and prayed for this graced time for our parish community.
Peace be with you,
Father Dan
