Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFH seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.  HFH has built more than 800,000 houses around the world. St. Joan of Arc participates with Habitat for Humanity – Lake County (www.habitatlc.org) and SJA volunteers help build houses in the Waukegan area.
