Our Memories of Saint Joan of Arc Parish School
"The quality of the school and the community encourage graduates to return and offer their children the same neighborhood lifestyle they experienced."
-Garry and Mardi Woodward, 1958 & 1959 SJA Graduates
"Love God and love one another. At SJA, our children have learned these important lessons."
-Christy and Steve King, Parents of four SJA Graduates
"I feel well prepared for the intellectual discussions in my classes and am fortunate to have benefited from the great learning environment at St. Joan's."
John Thomas O'Connor, SJA Young Alum
"Joan of Arc was a great experience that really prepared me for Loyola Academy."
Maggie Iglar, SJA Young Graduate
"My first day at SJA, I was welcomed and was able to make friends quickly. The support I got was amazing. I couldn't have found a better community and school for my transition to the Chicagoarea."
Sam Ingalls, SJA Young Graduate
"I've often said the greatest gift our kids got didn't come from a book, but rather, from within. In that small nurturing environment, with familiar faces in every crowd, they developed a sense of self confidence."
Debbie Clamage, Parent of two SJA Graduates
"The St. Joan of Arc foundation allowed our children to be successful in the highest level honors and Advance Placement classes at Evanston Township High School (ETHS) and top tier university classes."
Bill and Suzanne Keeley, Parents of two SJA graduates
With pride and excellence, the doors of St Joan of Arc Parish School have now closed. The hallways were lined with every graduation class dating back to the 1955-1956 school year. Bulletin boards displayed the successful careers of just a few of our prior SJA graduates. We are so proud of the teaching and learning that has taken place through the years at our wonderful school.
St. Joan of Arc School embodied the family and community atmosphere. We are extremely appreciative and grateful for their dedication. From volunteerism to fundraising, the families are always willing to assist in every way. As a parish school, it has been a blessing to celebrate grade-level Mass each week, and an All School Mass each month to foster the spiritual development of our student body, along with many other sacramental and prayerful services. We thank all who have ever been involved for your support and love of our school, students and staff members. It has been a privilege for all of us to serve SJA students, parents and community. We can all be grateful for the way we have fulfilled our school mission statement of “Strengthened by Faith, Joined in Community, Achieving Academic Excellence!”
