Dear SJA Parents,
Happy May! This was my first week back at St. Joan of Arc School and it was wonderful to see all the students, parents, and teachers. Thank you to everyone your offered a warm welcome as I quickly become readjusted. May is a very busy month, so I hit the ground running!
2018-19 Calendar Update
Many parents have asked me about calendar dates for the 2018-19 school year. We submitted a proposed calendar to the Archdiocese in mid-April and are still waiting for a final approval. Dates will be distributed to all families once they are available. Thanks for your patience!
Check in starts at 1:15 followed by the prayer service at 1:30 pm in the Church.
SJA Service Day Thank you
Thank you to all of the teachers, parents and students who made SJA Service Day such a HUGE success. Over the past week we have heard several stories of ways that your chlldren made an impact. We should all be proud! This school event requires such an enormous amount of volunteers. We understand that many of you took off work to be part of this… we are grateful! It could not have been done without you!
In addition, thank you to the St. Joan of Arc Community and especially our 8th graders for collecting $1, 287 for Misericordia Candy Days! They are so grateful for your generosity with your time and treasure!
Congratulations to our 8th grade class who was recently received the sacrament of Confirmation. May they be filled with the Holy Spirit now and always.
Prayer for the week
by whose power we are created and by whose love we are redeemed:
guide and strengthen us by your Spirit,
that we may give ourselves to your service,
and live this day in love to one another and to you;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord.
