The mission of the PSO is to foster parental involvement at multiple levels within the community and the school. The organization directs and coordinates parental support of St. Joan of Arc School through the school volunteer program, social events and fundraising activities. We focus on providing opportunities for parents and students to be an active part of our organization.
The PSO is responsible for fundraising that contributes over $30,000 to the school annually. The organization’s fundraising also supports a number of social events and provides Christmas and year-end bonuses for our hardworking teachers. Find out about our Teacher Appreciation Fund.
Parents also are encouraged to donate their time to help with one of the PSO’s many events. Volunteers are always needed to continue providing social and fundraising events. Participation in the PSO also is a great way to get to know the other families and teachers who are part of our community. Feel free to join us for a PSO meeting, which are generally held in the 2nd floor teacher’s lounge on the first Tuesday of every other month at 7 p.m. All meetings are open to parishioners and parents of children attending St. Joan of Arc School.
